Simply the Best

Simple to use; Powerful on features

Another year draws to a close and the Patriot Systems staff are looking forward to a well earned break after a busy and exciting year for the Company.  The development and release of Patriot 5 was the major focus for the year and all staff were heavily involved in making the transition from Patriot 4 to Patriot 5 as smooth a journey as possible.  Patriot 5 is now the current release version of the software and is being used in an ever increasing number of countries around the world.

Some of the most recent sales of the software have been to smaller less well known countries and has tested my geographical knowledge of the world and had me reaching for my atlas.  These countries include: Aruba, Honduras, Netherland Antilles, Panama and Suriname.

We have also fielded enquiries from many other countries around the globe and the interest in the software is unprecedented and confirms the universal interest in Security as a basic human requirement.  So be in good heart in 2004 knowing that your industry has world wide appeal.

USA Trade Shows

Patriot Systems marketed the software at two US trade shows during the year.  The Security Expo held at the Miami Beach Convention Center 22-24th July provided an opportunity to showcase the software to both local and South American prospects.

A large percentage of the attendees spoke Spanish and Ezio Simone, (US Distributor based in Miami) proved to be invaluable in communicating with a large number of prospects from countries such as Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, Brazil, Honduras, Panama, Aruba and Peru.

The National Summit on Security was held in Washington DC 1st – 3rd October 2003 at the Washington Convention Center and Patriot personnel joined with their Michigan based distributors to showcase the software to a large number of interested attendees.

Eric Haas (Haas Systems) ready to discuss the features and functionality of the Patriot software at the National Summit on Security held at the Washington Convention Centre.

Recent additions to the website include:

·         A table listing the differences between the LITE, Professional and Enterprise versions of the software

Bay of Plenty Polytechnic – Security Training

The National Certificate in Security (Communications) Level three is being offered as a course for new and existing employees in the Security industry.  The Communications module will involve academic and practical study in a mobile working Central Station using Patriot software.  The Polytechnic is also planning to run Patriot training courses around the country should there be a demand for further training.

Recent feedback from the Patriot Training Course held in Gisborne 26th - 27th August 2003 would indicate that there is a demand and need for Patriot software training especially with Patriot 5 now being available.

Patriot Software Training Course

We intend running another Patriot Software Training Course for Patriot Users in February of next year.  A registration form for the training course accompanies this newsletter and participants will need to complete the registration form and return it by the end of December.

User Feedback

Securguard Monitoring from Invercargill, New Zealand has operated Patriot software for the past two years.  BOB IMLACH is the owner of the company and is always on the look out for opportunities to recycle and save money.  He has asked me to publish his latest cost saving tip so that other Patriot user’s may benefit from his wisdom and initiative.

Securguard print off the attendance report for each activation event and the report is attached to the invoice and sent to the client.  Bob noticed the waste of paper because an attendance report only covered the first quarter of an A4 sheet of paper.  His solution was to have the local printer perforate the A4 sheets of paper to allow four attendance reports to be generated from the one sheet of A4 paper.

Patriot Christmas and New Year Trading Hours
